A Year 2000 Compliant Source
passing date data to a Year 2000 Compliant Application
using the TWAIN Specification will not produce errors processing
date data in connection with the year change from December 31,
1999 to January 1, 2000, when adhering to the TWAIN
Specification for the passing of date data, or when using any
TWAIN Source Manager with a version of 1.6.0.1 or higher. The
same applies to TWAIN Thunker.
Neither the TWAIN Specification nor the
TWAIN Source Manager process (interpret) date data, they only
pass uninterpreted data between the Application and the Source,
or the Source and the Application; therefore neither the TWAIN
Specification nor any version of the TWAIN Source Manager will
affect the recognition of the Year 2000 as a leap year. The same
applies to TWAIN Thunker.
DISCLAIMER: The Compliance Statement
refers to the TWAIN Source Manager as delivered by the TWAIN
Working Group. This Compliance Statement addresses only the
passing of date data between sources and applications using the
TWAIN Specification. Please refer to the Microsoft Year 2000
Compliance Statement for information that includes coverage of
TWAIN Source Managers delivered by Microsoft in their products.
The same applies to TWAIN Thunker.
