Hi,
I am developing a ‘Twain Data Source Administration Utility’ for a specific company products (like HP). I am using windows twain data source manger (DSM_Entry – twain_32.dll) internally for handling with Data Sources.
I have a requirement to display only the Twain data sources on DSM’s select source dialog (excluding WIA data sources). How can i make this possible?
Please help me.Thanks in advance,
ShaheerHi Shaheer – I don’t believe there is any way to restrict the set of TWAIN data sources listed in the Select Source dialog.
What people normally do is present their own list using their own UI, and then they can filter the list however they like. This doesn’t allow the user to set the global ‘default TWAIN scanner’ however, although probably even that can be done if you are willing to do a ‘hack’. 8)
Shaheer,
Spike is right. It is not possible when you use the standard dialog from the DSM.
Anyhow there is a different way. Create your own dialog, retrieve all DS names (MSG_GETFIRST/MSG_GETNEXT) and filter them string based before adding into the list box.
Best regards,
kaij
