Hi,
I’m have a Konica Minolta MS6000 MkII microfilm reader that uses a MARS Mini Controller device to search through a microfilm roll for a specific image using indexes.
The machine itself has 4 custom capabilities (0x8001-0x8004). So far, I have been using 0x8002, which appears to mimic manual entry into the MARS Mini Controller regarding which index to search for, and inputting Fix32s into it via a separate application using TWAIN. The result is that the microfilm roll is able to be searched correctly for single-level retrieval (i.e non-blipped microfilm, with pages only). However, using the same custom capability for dual-level retrieval (i.e blipped film, with chapters and pages) does not seem to work correctly, as it will only move to the specific page as defined by the non-decimal portion of the fix32 instead of the chapter, or rewind and eject the roll entirely.
The other 3 custom capabilities do not appear to be settable and/or not related to searching through a microfilm roll. I have also tried using different data types such as uint32s or arrays, and none of them work correctly either.
Can anyone with experience using TWAIN to search Microfilm rolls with these devices share any insight on what I should be trying to do?
Thank you.
Hello,
You will need to contact the manufacturer to help with this. Sorry for the delayed response.
