but “who is right” is tricky even when the api is clear as when the vendor says ‘twain compatible’ they might mean to version 1.4 of the spec or they could be talking about version 1.9, but really it just means is that a driver exists. Too bad more (any?) vendors don’t say which version they’re talking about, but I think it adds a bit of spice to the mix – keeps it interesting.

spike – what ds did you run into that supported customdsdata but didn’t provide for all of the settings? (wait, no I think its coming to me telepathically – HP?)
