    Hi everybody,

I’m still here with my hold problem. I have to write a twain source driver that take the triplet and data (DG, DAT, MSG, pData) and forward it to another source … a kind of “p2p twain driver”.
Some of you said that it’s not possible because a twain source cannot open another source, some other said that someone did it (remotesoft … but which product?).
If you have to do the same apps, which ways you’ll follow?

Thank you a lot and excuse me for my bad english!

PS: for example … look at this: http://www.recogniform.com/scanning.htm it seems that a twain driver can open another scanner!

I wrote a windows service that checks a directory for some text files and then operates a number of different twain sources based on the text files – it has a mini protocol, sort of a file system messaging based approch for making twain devices available to the network.

How far have you come along on the project? If you have implemented the source that will take the commands I think I could help you with getting it to talk to another source, but I think you’ll need a helper app – like a windows service or something on the machine where the device is. Let me know if you’re interested.
