Forums › TWAIN Classic › Automatic color detection problem
Hello,
I have following problem when using “automatic color detection” mode with Epson DS-6500 scanner.
“Automatic color detection” is set through Epson user interface and I close this dialog. Then I set pixel type to black&white in my application, but images are scanned with color.
I cannot set ICAP_AUTOMATICCOLORENABLED to false, because Epson doesn’t support it (it has version 1.9, and returnes error TWCC_BADCAP).
Why does that problem occure and how to fix it?

If ICAP_AUTOMATICCOLORENABLED is not returned by CAP_SUPPOREDCAPS, it might be that the driver has a different understanding of that feature than the TWAIN capability you have mentioned. Have you talked to EPSON about that?
