Hi,
We are using TwainDSM through DLLImport for Scanning feature in our 32bit .Net application.
We are in the process of migrating our Application into 64bit. When we migrate Scanning feature to use 64 bit TwainDSM.dll, it will work for Scanners with 64bit drivers installed.
Can someone advise on the following:
1. Does all scanner vendors have 64bit driver equivalent for their Scanners?
2. How many Scanner Vendors have implemented 64bit Scanner Drivers? Do we have any common place to get those information? Thanks in advance.
PierreHi Nithya,
It’s the responsibility of the manufacturer to develop a 64bit version for their drivers.
Not all manufacturers decide to do it.
As an example, I’m currently working with a Kodak I700, which only has a 32bit TWAIN driver. As far as I know, the only way to know whether or not a 64bit version exists is to check on the manufacturer’s website or to call them.
Nithya GnanasekarHi Pierre,
Thank you for your response.
Please let me know some of the Scanner Manufactures and Model which has 64bit Driver in market.
Thanks in advance.

Any scanner in the list that reports a version of Windows greater than Windows XP (like Windows 10) must provide a native 64-bit driver.Nithya GnanasekarHi Mark,
Thank you for sharing this useful Link.
From the provided link, HP Scanjet Pro 3000 s3 is mentioned as Windows 7. But, when I install driver from HP link:”https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-scanjet-pro-3000-s3-sheet-feed-scanner/10430940″ it always install 32bit Twain Driver alone.
MarkIf that’s true then they haven’t satisfied the conditions for TWAIN self certification. You will have to contact them to ask how you can download their 64-bit driver.
