Hi,
I am new to twain.org and so please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this.
I manage (and developed) an intranet web application with php and mysql. It is accessed by offices located in remote places and is secure and fast. Currently, it contains over 250,000 records and contains to be added.
Now, the company wants to save fingerprint of each record. For that, we are thinking of dumping the web-based application and develop .net application that does the same thing as the web application but supports saving images from scanners and fingerprints.
Before we start, is it possible for the current php to be tweaked so that it can access scanner and fingerprints?
I have heard of JTWAIN but it is commercial and my company won’t spend money on something that i am not sure about. phpsane is opensource but it is not well-documented nor have quality forum.
Any ideas please?
