🙂 Hi All…
I am wondering if you can make a “non-TWAIN” scanner become a “TWAIN compliant/compatible” scanner?
Specifically the Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 Document Scanner. It features fast single pass two sided scanning.
The support/download site specifically states that this is a non-TWAIN scanner.
Thanks,
Fred…
—The only difference (as far as I can tell) between a twain scanner and a non-twain scanner is the presence of a twain driver for the device. today you have a somethingSomethingElse driver, you want the twain driver that the vendor seems to be stating doesn’t exist and won’t be created.
I think you’ll have more luck buying a twain scanner if you’re looking for twain support, sorry.
.
Thanks Gabe.
I thought that was the way it was going to be.
Yesterday afternoon I received a call from the pre-sales technical support at Fujitsu. They gave me the model number of a twain compliant product that has the same features I was looking for; the fi6130.
Thanks again…
Fred… 😀
