Canon Lide 100 scanner preview window is not coming up when tried opening from IE8.
I have created one activeX control and it is using Twain. When I try to open through web application in IE8 in windows 7 version then it is crashing. Same application is working fine with IE7 and windows 7 combination. We have checked in deep and values are passed correctly to DSMENTRYPROC and once its goes there it is getting crashed.
One more information is we tried using the below URL which is Twain online demo checking.
http://www.dynamsoft.com/demo/DWT5/online_demo_scan.aspx
It is also working fine in IE7 in windows7 but not working with IE8 windows7.Please provide me your input which is more appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Can you please clarify if you are a developer of Dynamic Web TWAIN or a customer of this software.
Best regards,
Kaij
I am customer of that software(dynamic web twain) and I am using TWAIN for my activex control and that is also not working.
Please clarify me why TWAIN is not working in IE8 of windows 7.
Thanks!
TWAIN is in general working under Windows 7 IE8 with ActiveX controls. In your case I recommend you contact the vendor of the control you have purchased.
I am using one ActiveX control which uses TWAIN,added in web application and works fine in IE6,IE7 & IE8 of XP version and once i started using it in IE8 of windows7 then IE8 is crashed with the following exception
“Unhandled exception at 0x0871437c in iexplore.exe: 0xC0000005:
Access violation reading location 0x000000dc”My question is, is there any specific change done for windows 7 in TWAIN driver and that should be modified in that ActiveX control to work fine?
if any changes done please share me with some document which will helps me to do changes in the ActiveX control.
Thanks in advance!![/i]
I have problems with the Canon dr2010c twain driver under IE8 when using my own activex control. But, I have also found that if I disable IE8’s process isolation feature it works ok! This is not an acceptable fix (for me)… but maybe it is interesting for you.
You can disable process isolation via the registry:
HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain
add a REG_DWORD value called “TabProcGrowth” set to 0

Even this is also not working for me 🙁 . I am waiting for the reply from TWAIN team(Kaij) for this. I hope will get it soon.
Thanks!
