General twain question – I am new to scanning/twain – is it possible?
I am using vb.net and Leadtools 15 sdk to write a scanning application. I am trying to scan each document in the feeder, displaying each document (as an image) as it is scanned, and allowing the user to edit the image before the next image is scanned. The behavior I am seeing is the scanner will scan the first document and present it as an image for the user to edit, but the scanner keeps on scanning the next seven documents in the feeder while the user is editing the first image. Is there a way to get the scanner to wait until the user has finished editing the first image and then scan the next document?
Background – The reason I need the scanner to wait is that the first document may need to be rescanned to adjust the contrast etc. so I don’t want the scanner to get ahead of the user. We have a piece of Kodak software that does this but it does not work with our Fujitsu scanner.
I’m not sure what is offered in the LeadTools SDK but you might want to check for an After Page or After Document function. Accusoft’s Imagegear offers these functions. They fire after each page (or document) is scanned and the scanner haults until the code has completed execution.
