I’m working on application that gets an image from scanner.
Generally it works good, problem appears, when the scanner is switched off – application hangs and there is no way to do anything except turning if off with the task menager.
Is there any function in twain_32.dll, that checks if there is any connection with the device?
I’m using this file: TwainLib.vb
Thanks in advance for help.I don’t know file that you’re using, but in Twain specification is capability CAP_DEVICEONLINE. You can check if scanner is available and ready to connect. Maybe that helps you.
Hi Jaroslaw.M,
I’m wondering whether the application hang issue is caused by the improper source close. You can try to close the source after every scanning session and see if it helps.
