    Hi All,
In many samples, including demo from twain.org, I found that DSM is alway do transition from open to close state. So I have question what is wrong to keep it open always? (load and open at the begging of app and close at the end)

    Thank you,
    Denis

I open it after loading the twain.dll and close it at the end of the session. I don’t think you should close it somewhere in the middle because this would also include closing and loading the source all the time, which could cause problems.
