Hello everybody.
I’m assigned to search for information about developing a Twain driver with Visual Basic 5/6. Unfortunately we can’t use an ActiveX Control from a third party because we have to _emulate_ a twain driver.Scenario:
– image files are somewhere on disk
– some application knows us as twain-driver and calls the standard twain “acquireFile” over our own DSM_Entry function (?)
– we read the files on disk and return them to the calling applicationNow the question:
How can i create a twain driver with visual basic? It doesn’t have to do something in the first step. I think to show a messagebox when some application is calling our “driver” is enough.
Is this possible with VB? And how can i do this? Thanks in advance
Strobel(Excuse my english and ask me if something is not clear)
Does XPCTWAIN from http://www.twaintools.com not meet your requirements? Otherwise I have not understood your question. VB is not ideal to develop an own TWAIn driver.
Best regards, kaij
