Hey guys, let me just say thanks in advance. I am having an issue trying to disable the Twain driver settings user interface to keep our users from changing the scan resolution and etc. However I am very new to this process. I am trying to figure out how I make these changes.
I understand that I need to set the “ShowUI=False” but what do I use to do that. Is there a command I need to run? Is there a software tool that has a GUI that makes this change easier? Once I make the change, is it saved and then applies to any application that uses the scanner?
Sorry for all the questions but I am really lost on this and any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
Try to google “command line twain scanner”. I know about irfanview – multimedia viewer, which can scan from command line without scanner ui. But it doesnt hide popup indicator-progress bar.
Another solutions is to develop your own app, which will iteract with scanner using fixed parameters and disabling any UI and popups.Saw your post at 29Jun.
You can operate ShowUI just in your own app, as i know. When i was solving my task (to share scanner over lan), i found a great simple source of this app, written in visual basic (http://lmik.sweb.cz/) – it helps me a lot. I just translated it in c++.- AuthorPosts
