Hallo,
Is there a capability to recognize if dual or multistream is used?
(I’m using a Kodak I30) I was checking the twain capabilities from 255 to 33100 (Hex 814C) and nothing changed when I activated or deactivated scanning both color and binary. Does anyone now how do find out if dual stream is activated? And also the second image has own settings (like a different resolution) Where to get e.g the resolution of the binary image.Thank You for Your support.
Hi
The way how to handle this is described in the Kodak integrations documetation delived with the scanner.
There is a document named “TWAIN_DualStream.htm” where it’s described how to check the cap’s in order to know if “DualStream” is activated. You can get for front and back if color and/or bitonal is enabled.
There is also described how to handle the filetransfer in order to know before you start transfer what image you’ll get (front, back, color, bitonal) and the document where they comes from.
Hopefully these information helps.
Regards
GerardIs there a way to Dual Stream with scanners other than Kodak? As I understand it, Kodak has added some functionality to be able to scan Dual Stream, but this would only work with Kodak Scanners. I am looking for a more broad solution that would allow a dual stream scan with all scanners that support Dual Stream Scanning or Single Document Multiple Images.
Is this something that only Kodak has an answer for?

GerardI need more info on Dual Streaming. Where can I find this “TWAIN_DualStream.htm” document?

If you are looking for the properties (just getting not setting) of the returned image, look at the ImageInfo and extImageInfo after you have acquired the image.
Does anyone know where I can find some documentation or info on Dual Streaming or Multi Streaming?
I have a client who wants to use a Kodak i40 in Dual Stream mode, but I do not know how to enable it or use it.
The client got a pack of cds with their scanner. Have them send them to you. One of them *should* contain the integrators kit with all the info, or contact the ‘document imaging’ folks at Kodak, you should be able to find some contact info on the kodak site when you start looking at their scanners. And of course you might have already done all you need to do as some of the Kodak devs read and occtionally post here.
I am sorry to say this but may be you can look on ISIS? ISIS provide tools for multistream scanning e.g. http://pixtools.blogspot.com/
