    Ussually this happens when you havent locked and unlocked the twain session.

    example of a range of brightness settings:

    pRange = (pTW_RANGE)GlobalLock(twCapability.hContainer);

    //Set brightness here

    pRange = (pTW_RANGE)GlobalUnlock(twCapability.hContainer);

    hope that helps 🙂

    Are you saying that no DS’s respond to setting brightness or contrast or only a specific one doesn’t respond? The former points to a problem in your code while the latter indicates an undesirable feature (a.k.a. bug) in a specific DS. I suggest trying your code with other DS’s if you haven’t already.

    Have you resolved this bug? I have the same problem. I used GlobalLock and GlobalUnlock functions, but nothing had changed. I tried to work with different sources (camera, scanner), received TWRC_SUCCESS but resulting image was with contrast/brightness at default values.

    I’m having the same problem in EPSON 10000XL. In fact none of the capabilities that I set really work. Does anyone know why?? Is this s bug in twain interface of Epson 10000XL??? Unfortunately I have no way to check with some other scanner.

    Has anyone sucessfully controlled capabilities as per twain document?? I’d appreciate if you can provide me your source to have a look at. Please note that basic scanning works fine. Also I can not use the Epson’s own GUI for capability controlling.
