My scanner is HP8290 with ADF enabled, when I scan multi-page,
I try to change the DPI setting for second page after I scaned first page, but always got fail.
Then I try to use CAP_EXTENDEDCAPS, but it seems not supported by my scanner.
If I call DAT_PENDINGXFERS with MSG_RESET, the second paper will eject out, this is not what I want.So is there any other solution can change the setting for second page
without ejecting paper.I notice that the XP tool — paint can do both preview and scan with
different DPI for my ADF scanner, I am confused how it implement this.thanks so much in advance
I dunno, but it seems that the spec is pretty clear about setting caps when you’re above state 4, pretty much requires cap_extendedcaps. If your device doesn’t support cap_extendedcaps/get or doesn’t like when you try to send cap_extendedcaps/set you are probably hosed.
If you are always changing the setting for the second page, couldn’t you just request a single page from the device then close your session and open a new session for the second|next page?
