When I run the Twain implemented framework I get this error: NO TWAIN DATASOURE IS NOT INSTALLED. I am using Window7 64-bit and scanner is Canon CanoScan LiDE 110 . I downloaded some drivers from SourceforgeTWAIN DSM FILES(Url: http://sourceforge.net/projects/twain-dsm/files/).
The download directory contains:
TWAINDSM.dll
TWAINDSM64.msm
I copied the TWAINDSM.dll file into C:WindowsSysWOW64. My doubt is how do I get the twain relevant .ds files. If any wrong please tell me alternative ways to avoid above exception. Please help me.This is very urgent for me32bit TWAINDSM.DLL goes in
C:WindowsSysWOW6464 bit TWAINDSM.DLL goes in
C:WindowsSystem32TWAIN.DS files you get from scanner supplier
More specifically, your LiDE 110 comes with a CD that will install a TWAIN driver, or you can visit the Canon website and find a TWAIN-compliant scanner driver…, under Drivers & Software:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/scanners/photo_scanners/canoscan_lide110When installed, this will add a something.ds file to the Windowstwain_32 folder (perhaps in a sub-folder).
That gives you a TWAIN driver for your scanner.Note that it will be a 32-bit driver (I believe) and so it will not be accessible through TWAIN from a 64-bit application.
It will work fine with 32-bit applications – try IrfanView for example. Not clear to me what you mean by “run the TWAIN implemented framework”
