Can I, not a computer expert, create my own TWAIN driver for my HP Scanjet 4600 to run on a Win 98? Or, modify the one online that works with Win 2000 and upwards?
The HP Scanjet 4600, last I checked, still works great, but I damaged my old computer, and have this really old, Dell, in a welded-down box, so I can’t add new USB ports, and these ports are apparently Intel, and when I load my Win 2000, it fails to detect any USB devices. So, I loaded Win 98, and that works, but I can’t get the drivers for this particular scanner.
Or, is there some sort of generic twain driver somewhere that will work?
I’ll get a more modern computer, but would really like to make this one work until I can.
