Hello Friends,
I want to write a small application in VC++ to connect/enable any twain complaint scanner. I have TWAIN_32.dll and the twain.h file, but i don’t have any scanner connected to my PC. Is there way to use the dummy scanner DS with twain DSM without scanner connection so that i can get scanner capabilities. Could any body respond and help me abut it.
Thanks.
for a virtual scanner I use Kodak’s i series (i30, i40, etc) in simulation mode
(search the forum for ‘simulation mode’). I do the vast majority of my dev on a laptop on the train without twain hardware attached. Works great.I want to write a small application in VC++ to connect/enable any twain complaint scanner.
define ‘small’.
define ‘any’.
which sku of vc++? (6, 2003, 2005, 2008, express, standard, etc.. )
then, what do you want to be able to do with the thing once you’re connected?
.
Thanks, gabe
Actually i want to make a generalised small application so that i could connect any TWAIN complaint scanners. My purpuse is to get some experience and more understanding of TWAIN.
Could you please send me the steps that show how to create virtual scanner on my PC, it it possible to install the DS/scanner driver without actual scanner with me.
Thanls,
