We have test our application on many scanners that run up to 70 pages per minute and have recently deployed it using a Canon x10c which claims a throughput speed of 125 pages per minute. We are unable to make it run at rated speeds in standard mode at 200 dpi black and white. There is a 7 to 8 second delay between pulling each page through the scanner. When we enable the “scan ahead” option, we get full rated speed until we get up around 150 pages or so and then there is a message saying “Error -5500 out of memory”. Is this being generated by the Twain driver? Is this basically the same issue that the previous version of the Twain specification had?
The driver runs just fine with PixEdit in production environment I know
