I acquired a picture with the native mode transfer and I get a TWRC_XFERDONE message. so I got back the address of my bmp-file &bmp.
as far as I understand the spec this bmp file is complete, so bmpfileheader and bmpinfoheader are included. I tried to save the picture withfwrite(&bmp, 6718194, 1, fp) with FILE *fp;
but it didn’t work. do I have to add some more information to the bmp file or am I missinterpreting what I get back from the native transfer?
thanks for help!
it is a dib. hit google for reading addresses that contain DIB.
opentwain reads them. If you have trouble after hitting msdn or reading thru opentwain, let me know..
thanks, I thought that the DIB data already included a BITMAPFILEHEADER. after writing this one it was no big problem saving the image.
just for the record: are there any BMP files which are not DIB? according to wikipedia DIB and Windows BMP are the same, but are there any “not Windows” BMP file formats?- AuthorPosts
