Hi,
New to TWAIN.. hence these queries..
If I have to build an application using C#, I assume that I have to use TWAINDSM.dll ? Is this mandatory that I need to use this DLL ? Is there a similar DLL written in C# ?
Do companies who build SDKs around TWAIN, use TWAINDSM.dll and build layers over it ? or they have their own ?
Am I allowed to package my app along with this DLL and sell the app without any royalty or license issues involved ? Should I mark in my application mentioning to my users that I have used this DLL ?Thanks for answering,
VinnThere are several c# libraries that you could try. A free one is Twain.Net: http://code.google.com/p/twaindotnet/ For non-free there are many options. Two I’d recommend are TWAIN Working group members, Atalasoft https://www.atalasoft.com/ (full disclosure, I work there. search for WingScan, or DotTwain), and Dynamsoft: http://www.dynamsoft.com/.
Hope that helps.
