Ok i have a Samsung SCX-5315F (Printer/Scanner/Fax) machine hooked up to the computer. I get TWAIN errorwhen i try to scan (check out the link). Now i can hook the Scanner up to my laptop and it works fine. So the next option was to get another scanner and test that on the computer (it works fine). I can print without any problems. I have Unistalled the software and drivers and reinstalled them a few times. I have Flashed the BIOS to the latest version 0603. I went in to the windows directory and deleted the Twain files, i think there was 2 from memory. So both products work just not togeather. Now i have started this new job, the other IT bloke has quit. Everything has been setup already i just had to fix a few things he stuffed up. What’s the chance that he has stuffed up during the first time he installed the Twain drivers. It is a doctors office that has all the database info on it so i cant remove the computer from where it is and need to work on it on site. Someone was telling me the check the Chipset drivers (it’s my last resort). I spoke to my supplier and he just laughed cause both products work. I could get another motherboard but i am not sure if that will fix the problem.
