This is scenario of the application I want to create.
    1. Admin set the scan capability through the vendor provided UI
    2. User click my scan button and scan process is start using setting that admin made without showing capability UI

Now I can scan without showing capability UI but the problem is the scanner use the default capability setting not the one that admin made.

I know that I can set the capability programmatically during scan process but I cannot find the way to obtain the setting that admin made in the vendor provided UI without display it.

    anyone have idea?
    thank you 😀

If the TWAIN driver for your scanner supports it you want to use the following to present a setup-only dialog to the user:
    DG_CONTROL / DAT_USERINTERFACE / MSG_ENABLEDSUIONLY

When the user is done the application receives one of the following:
    DG_CONTROL / DAT_NULL / MSG_DSCLOSEREQ
    — or —
    DG_CONTROL / DAT_NULL / MSG_DSCLOSEOK

If MSG_DSCLOSEOK is received, then do the following to capture the driver’s current settings:
    DG_CONTROL / DAT_CUSTOMDSDATA / MSG_GET

At the time of scanning use the following to restore the settings:
    DG_CONTROL / DAT_CUSTOMDSDATA / MSG_SET

    Hi,
I send an open message to scanner Canon DR C240. When it offline, Twain show me a message “Can’t locate device; check cable and power (-4536)”.
But I send the same message with driver Kodak K900. It never show this message.
    This is message I’ve sent: sts = m_twaincstoolkit.Send(“DG_CONTROL”, “DAT_IDENTITY”, “MSG_OPENDS”, ref szIdentity, ref szStatus);
szIdentity: driver I want to connect (Canon DR C240/ Kodak K900).

I want to never show message if Canon DR C240 offline, Please tell me how to do!
    Thanks your considering and regards,
    Dai Nguyen

The vendor should provide a setup guide.
