Hello:
I have a Canon scanner connected to a PC running WinXP and I am getting the following error on what seems to be a random basis:
“The device could not be locked. Check that another application isn’t using the device. (-4630)”
I understand that the driver is a TWAIN driver most likely built on an ISIS driver but i don’t understand why I am getting this error. It seems to me that the system is trying to load or reload the ISIS driver after the scanning has begun which is causing the problem. Is there a way to disable this from occuring?
OS: WinXP
Scanner: Canon DR-G1100
The error code is an ISIS error code, so EMC has to be consulted to explain any problem…
