I have written a scan application using twain. I am using a kodak 260 scanner to scan multiple pages. Everything works fine the first time I scan a set of papers, I then disable the data source with MSG_DISABLEDS. On scanning the second time I enable the data source with MSG_ENABLEDS. All the images scanned have a two inch black (i.e.blank) margin down the left hand side and the right hand side of the image is missing by two inches. It is as if the scanner has shifted two inches to the right of the paper that is being scanned. If I shut down and restart the application the scanner scans correctly the first time and then repeats the problem on subsequent scans. It may be I am not resetting the scanner properly somehow.
I would be very grateful for any assistence with this problem.
Many Thanks
Jay
when i cycle out of a session, i usually disableDs, closeDs, and then closeDSM. my original thought for this had to do with attempting to catch devices entering a powersave mode/ turning themselves off, but it may help.
Thankyou for your assistance. The problem has been solved, when I CloseDS and then openDS on the next session the scanner works fine. Now I just have to find a way round the Select source dialog.
