Hi, I’m programming on java to control ICAP_CONTRAST without UI dialog. Once I hide the UI setShowUserInterface(true). I cannot re-scan again and error occurred as below
==========================================
Failed during call to twain source.
cc=Capability not supported by source
rc=1
==========================================Hi xostar1 – can you tell if that error is happening specifically when the code tries to set ICAP_CONTRAST?
If so, maybe your scanner doesn’t support ICAP_CONTRAST – that would be odd, but after all it isn’t a required capability.
What scanner are you testing with?
Hi Spike,
I’m sure I can set apply ICAP_CONTRAST on first scan. Once I trigger the scanner scan again and its prompt error. But I found that I only able to control the Contrast by using UI (setShowUserInterface(true)).
I have tried 3 different model scanner (Kodak i65, i1420, i2600).
Hi xostar1 – So: the error happens every time, on the 2nd scan, with three different Kodak scanners?
Maybe the problem is not with ICAP_CONTRAST, but something is in the wrong state after the 1st scan.It is very odd though, because that is such a specific error report. It is not the error I would expect if the driver was not open, or was in state 5,6 or 7.
Do you close the scanner after the first scan?
Each time you set ICAP_CONTRAST, do you set ICAP_PIXELTYPE first?What code or library are you using to control the scanner?
Hi Spike,
I have attached the sample file. You may try on it. Press “Acquire” first time – Console show OK and scanned image ok. Second time – Adjust Contrast Value by Scroll. Scanned image seem ok, but console error show as below. But not sure whether I can ignore the console.
