I am trying to create a small app to control a V550 scanner. When I do a get capability on resolution, I get a list back with 1134 entries that goes from 50 to 1184.
Since I am trying to set a scanning resolution of 1200, the call fails as 1200 is not in the list. This scanner is certainly capable ot 1200dpi as well as other higher resolutions.
How do I get to set those higher resolutios that are not in the list that comes back form the get call?
I have confirmed this behavior with TwainDotNet, SaraffTwain and NTwain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You would have to ask the scanner vendor that question. It could be a bug in their driver, or perhaps the resolution setting is dependent on some other setting, such as DAT_IMAGELAYOUT (ex: with a smaller frame, the resolution might go higher)…
Have you tried MSG_SET TW_ONEVALUE on ICAP_XRESOLUTION and ICAP_YRESOLUTION with the value of 1200 instead working with the list of values?
Best regards,
kaij
