Software Application development problem; perceived timeout issue using document feeder.
Using the Document Feeder with a number of documents loaded, moving between the Twain states 6 and 7 as each page is read in, this all works well except for the following scenario:
If during this loop between,
Sending a DG_CONTROL / DATAPENDINGXFERS / MSG_ENDXFER where the pData->Count = -1 (more transfers available).
and
Sending the next
DG_IMAGE / DAT_IMAGENATIVEXFER / MSG_GETThere is a long delay, due to the application taking a good time to process the received page, then the Source appears to timeout. No application notification appears to be received that this has happened, but when the DG_IMAGE / DAT_IMAGENATIVEXFER / MSG_GET is sent the message is blocked (Never to return).
If it is known that it is possible that there will be long delays between document feeder reads, how can the application handle this?
The scanner I am developing against is a HP scanjet 5590.
