I’m looking for the TWAIN Bridge application as mentioned on twaindirect.org. Everything here seems to send me over there, and everything there refers me back to here, or to the User’s Guide which doesn’t mention the TWAIN Bridge application.
“In order to get started using TWAIN Bridge today, consult the User’s Guide and join the TWAIN user community.”As we modernize our existing application, we are looking to bring direct scanning into our web client, and I’d like us to begin development of that immediately. It seems that TWAIN Bridge is the best route forward, both for our development efforts, and our early customer adoption.
Any help is appreciated,

Am in the same position as the original poster, where exactly do I get the ‘TWAIN Bridge’ software?
TWAIN Bridge is not yet publicly available as TWAIN Direct is not yet officially available for release. Please check back on the website from time to time for developments. There will be new information coming soon. The TWAIN Working Group sincerely appreciates your patience!

When will TWAIN Direct release be available publicly?
TWAIN Direct will not be available until the specification has been ratified, probably early to mid 2019. The development tools are only available to TWAIN Member companies at this time. Should you like to consider membership for your company, please visit the membership page of our website for details and please let me know what questions I can answer for you. Thank you!

Any update on this? The TWAIN Direct specification is already available. When can we expect TWAIN Bridge. We want to start developing TWAIn Direct application. But right now there is no way we can test the same. With TWAIN Bridge, probably we can proceed.
The TWAIN Bridge is not yet available for developers outside of the TWAIN Working Group. We will plan to update when it becomes available. Official release should be approx. 3rd quarter of 2019.

Hello,
Thank you for you hard work.
Could you tell me, are we still on track for release Q3 2019? Is it possible to give a more precise timeline?
Thanks!

If I understand correctly what this is, I’m eager to take a look and see how it works. Any updates on when TWAIN Bridge might be available to test?
Thanks!

Any update on this? Has the code/installer been released? I see no evidence of it on the GIT repository.

Yes, this code is available. There will be important updates coming this year relating to TWAIN Cloud, but TWAIN Local is fully functional. The bridge is contained here: https://github.com/twain/twain-direct
The Bridge isn’t called that by name in the code. It consists of the TwainDirect.Scanner project, which simulates the application/cloud facing side of a scanner, and the TwainDirect.OnTwain project, which runs in a separate process, and talks directly to TWAIN drivers.
The sample also includes a TWAIN Direct application and the TWAIN Direct Certification Tool.
Installing the sample legacy TWAIN driver found here: https://github.com/twain/twain-samples
allows running the Bridge with a TWAIN driver that doesn’t require a physical scanner, if you just want to see what everything looks like. -
