Hi,
We have a hardware that does not have twain based drivers. Our applications are Twain based and our clients also would like to use this hardware with their existing Twain based applications.
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to write an interface to make calls to the hardware drivers (as we have the SDK) without writing drivers for it.
Twain based application –> Twain DLL –> Wrapper/Interface –> Drivers –> Hardware
If I understand correctly, the standard twain apps and twain DLL work together to use the driver unlying calls (Twain apps –> Twain DLL–>Twain based Drivers–>Hardware).I am trying to figure out how I can get the twain dll calls which would still be made from the application be directed to the wrapper and then the wrapper can calls underlying API calls to the driver. Hence, making a connection to the device.
Thanks.
You need to create a new project for a TWAIN Data Source. This TWAIN driver can access your hardware via the hardware SDK and communicate at the other hand with the TWAIN DSM.
If you look for 3rd party support for such a project, feel free to contact JSE.
Best regards,
