    Hi all,

This is really stupid, but right now my eyes fail me for some reason (or maybe I’ve forgotten how to read) but I need to know what the name of the capability is for setting the scan area of a scanner. Easy eh?

I see a couple possibilities, but I’m not sure which one it could be. The OCX I’m working with has a function to do that, but I don’t trust it to much because of other results I’ve received from their higher level functions.

    Thanks in advance.
    Chris

ICAP_SUPPORTEDSIZES if you’re looking for fixed frame sizes for typical page sizes or ICAP_FRAMES if you want to manually set the size and location of the frames you want.

…and watch out for ICAP_AUTOMATICBORDERDETECTION. I have a few sources that ignore requested frames unless ICAP_AUTOMATICBORDERDETECTION is set to False

    Thanks for the info gabe…

I figured out the ICAP_FRAMES, very popular topic seems like. And thanks for the info on ICAP_AUTOMATICBORDERDETECTION. I’ll see how my Fujitsu fi-4120c behaves.

I’ve been working on this for almost 3 months now, andi ‘ve got everything working with every scanner in the office that i have available. TWAIN seems to be a giant pain, and this OCX im using isn’t making things any easier.

Im trying to use as few built in capabilities as possible mostly because of the fickle nature of the TWAIN specs (or rather the fickle nature of manufactures who implement them, ugh)

    Thanks again.
