I purchased Canon’s Canoscan 8600F scanner yesterday. It works on my Mac but it will not work on my Dell laptop. I keep getting “twain error” and being asked to check if the scanner is connected which it is. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers to no avail. Windows XP Home Edition is my operating system and it will not recognize the scanner. I have spent hours with tech support at Dell and at Canon with no success and am perplexed. Help, someone!
