Dear All,
‘m new in TWAIN and especially TWAIN under CITRIX; i downloaded the TWAIN visual studio sample from twain site and loaded it into VS2010 (it upgraded correctly) and run it successfully on my PC;
We publishd the application on CITRIX (under windows 2003) and tried it from the client PC, it is detecting the TWAIN devices instlled on the citrix server and not the client PC; hence it is not working; i’m sure that I missed somthing; for reference we enabled TWAIN redirection on the citrix server and we have an application using “Dynamic TWAIN” activeX that is working correctly and redirecting to the devices installed in the client PC; but the sample application mentioned above is not redirecting.Wil be greatfull for any help
Thanks
Hi jmerhej,
I wanna make clear of the following two things:
1. With Dynamic TWAIN, you can access the driver installed on both the citrix server and the client PC.
2. With the TWAIN visual studio sample, you can only get the driver installed on the citrix server.If I’m correct, please tell me whether you are testing the same drivers on the citrix server and the client PC. Also, please make sure you have the permission to access the driver.

Dynamsoft: The leading developer of version control software and TWAIN SDKHello,
thank you for the update, this is exactly what is hapening, when i use our application application with “Dynamic TWAIN” activeX which is published on citrix, it is accessing in citrix client the client PC installed devices and not the server devices;
when pubishing on citrix the visual studio sample (which used TWAINDSM.dll) it is able to access only the server installed devices; i did some code change to load the twain_32.dll instead of twainDSM.dll in the example just to do some testing and the same application now is showing the list of data sources on the client PC and not the server but of course the application is not working correctly since the code is written for TWAIN 2.0 which is not for twain_32.dll.
Also, the same device driver is installed on the server and on the client PC (not all, but the one i want to use is installed on both)please advice how we can change if any to have it correctly accessing the client PC installed devices
Thanks for your time
