Hi,
I’m looking for some help here. I’m developing a web application that needs a scan feature so I’m using a commercial Dynamic Web TWAIN 5.2 in my machine (Windows7 x64) and I’m experiencing some problems. With Opera Browser / Firefox all seems to work fine, however with Internet Explorer 9(x86 or x64 versions) i got always the “Your License Number is empty or it’s invalid.” message. I’ve tried options in the Kb article provided in the message but with no success.
Thanks,
LuísIt’s possible that you’ve run into a “protected mode” issue. IE9 on Win7 is sandboxed, and that can cause problems with TWAIN drivers that weren’t designed to run in that situation.
The quickest way to determine if that’s the problem is to browse to the following directory…
C:Program Files (x86)Internet ExplorerRight click on “iexplore.exe”, and select “Run as administrator”. If scanning works, then you have a protected mode issue. If that’s the case, then I recommend contacting both the scanner vendor and Dynamic Web for more advice…
Hi Luís,
I’m from Dynamsoft. Not sure whether you’ve got the problem solved. If the problem persists, you can contact us via Live Help or through email at twainsupport at dynamsoft.com
