    – I am trying to access web scan page from IE 9 64 bit on windows 7 64 bit
    – i am using Dynamic Web Twain 6.3.1 and i have on my web server DynamicWebTWAINx64.cab and DynamicWebTwain.lpk
and i point to them correctly from the web page.
    – when trying to access the web scan page from client machine, i get prompt for installing WebTwain plugin, and i install it.
    – i can see in the addons that the plugin is installed and allowed for all sites.
    – in the IE security settings i enabled the following:

    1) Download signed ActiveX controls
    2) Run ActiveX Controls and plug-ins
    3) Script ActiveX controls marke d safe for scripting

also i turned off protected mode.
also class ID and the version of CAB file are matched.

    – after installing the plugin and make sure that it’s enabled, the scan area appears correclty without red cross
but when trying to select scanner (i installed virtual scanner) nothing happens and i don’t get JS errors.

    – The only case the web scan works is when i install the web twain software on the client machine, which doesn’t seem right.

please advise why plugin installation is not working.

UPDATE: when i enter the demo URL
    http://www.dynamsoft.com/demo/DWT/online_demo_scan.aspx
and install the prompt scanner the scan area in the demo the image appears fine.
