There are no scanners as of yet that have deployed a TWAIN Direct native solution, however, Visioneer does have some TWAIN Direct-enabled scanners through the use of the TWAIN Bridge.September 23, 2020 at 9:01 am in reply to: Twain for Mac Catalina – Kodak PS50 Scanner Drivers #52554
Hi Tom – I’m afraid there are no TWAIN drivers for Catalina…
Please contact Brother directly. It is the responsibility of each manufacturer to develop and maintain TWAIN drivers for each of their machines, so support at Brother should be able to help. https://www.brother-usa.com/support/mfcl2700dw
Here is the correct sequence of commands: DG_CONTROL / DAT_USERINTERFACE / MSG_ENABLEDS with TW_USERINTERFACE.ShowUI = 0 to start scanning (going to state 5). The receipt of DG_CONTROL / DAT_NULL / MSG_XFERREADY indicates that the scanner is ready to transfer images, moving to state 6. Only then will a call to DG_IMAGE / DAT_IMAGEFILEXFER / MSG_GET be able to transfer an image.
Hi Bruce – please contact your scanner manufacturer. They should be able to help you with this issue. Thanks much.
That version is intended for the vendor’s scanner driver product. It is not the TWAIN protocol version. It’s the TW_IDENTITY.Version.MajorNum and MinorNum.
Can you please email me directly at email@example.com? I have your answer, but it includes an attachment which I cannot send from here.

Are you trying to work with the WIA-on-TWAIN source code? That is only meant for scanner vendors who have developed their own TWAIN drivers, and are looking for a quick way to create a good WIA driver based on it.
The development tools will be released 3rd quarter of 2019.
The TWAIN Bridge is not yet available for developers outside of the TWAIN Working Group. We will plan to update when it becomes available. Official release should be approx. 3rd quarter of 2019.
TWAIN Direct will not be available until the specification has been ratified, probably early to mid 2019. The development tools are only available to TWAIN Member companies at this time. Should you like to consider membership for your company, please visit the membership page of our website for details and please let me know what questions I can answer for you. Thank you!August 29, 2018 at 7:19 am in reply to: How to enable Twain driver settings programtically #50729

TWAIN Bridge is not yet publicly available as TWAIN Direct is not yet officially available for release. Please check back on the website from time to time for developments. There will be new information coming soon. The TWAIN Working Group sincerely appreciates your patience!
Hi Ricardo – please contact the manufacturer of the scanxDuo directly to determine if they have a TWAIN driver available for that machine. It is up to each manufacturer to develop, maintain and distribute TWAIN drivers for their models.
I would suggest contacting a representative at Canon directly to gain access to the proper download. TWAIN supplies the tools and standard for manufacturers to develop TWAIN drivers. It is up to the manufacturer to develop the TWAIN driver for their machines and distribute to users.
