All of the links I’ve found to the TWAIN toolkit for Mac no longer work; I’m doing some development on an app with scanner access and I wanted the ‘sample source’ that would allow me to mimic the presence of a scanner for now. Even the twain.org site search seems to use Google, whose outdate index for twain.org results in 404s.
So — where do I get this toolkit now? Does it still work on OSX 10.7 (Lion)?
I found this project on SourceForge via twain.org:
From the installation instructions (at the above URL) it mentions Linux and Windows, but not OS X.
It seems Apple is pushing developers to switch to ICA drivers. 10.7 does include the TWAIN framework (with a Mac-specific TWAIN.h file) but the way it’s going that may disappear soon.
I have checked the source file and there is nothing mentioned about the installation on Mac. I think you have put some wrong information. It works fines on Windows. However, I need it to install the drivers on my Mac. I hope there is better resolution for this.
