We have been developing an automated scanner application based on the FUJITSU fi-6800dj scanner.
We are able to set all of the various image settings we require with the exception of one… the ‘Image Mode‘ setting.It appears this value is derived from other twain settings, which is fine. However we are not able to reach the ‘SEE’ mode from other twain settings.
The settings we are gonig with the black and white are
PixelType = 0 ‘Black and White
BitDepth = 1
BitDepthReduction = 1 ‘TWBR_HALFTONES(1)
Halftones = “Dither Pattern 0”
Gamma = 1.3FThis is all fine with the exception that the fujitsu driver will set Image Mode to ‘Halftone’ with these capabilities set.
If you open the driver UI and set the Image Mode to ‘SEE’ it will keep this setting and from that point on will choose ‘SEE’ even when we re-apply these capabilities.
We have run Twirl against the scanner to see what changes when we set this Image Mode and we cannot find the setting we need.
We need ‘SEE’ to be set via twain and not an end user as this system is fully automatic. Does anyone know how to set the Image Mode to ‘SEE’ for fujitsu scanners?
If not where would I go to find out how.Hi RobH,
We might be able to point you in the right direction with Fujitsu. We are Elite partners so have direct access to Fujitsu technical in the UK.
