Hello,
I have a problem with Twain and Windows 7 64 bit.I installed drivers Cannon-5010C and Canon-9050C
I installed Twain 2.2, I have files :
C:WindowsSystem32TWAINDSM.dll
C:WindowsSystem32TWAINDSM32.msmC:WindowsSysWOW64TWAINDSM.dll
C:WindowsSysWOW64TWAINDSM64.msmBut when I launch Twack_64.exe and I press FileSelectSource… I have a message :
Error in Open, LoadLibrary, or GetProcAddress
Twain DLL may be not existCan you help me ?
Best regardsI’m sure other people know this stuff better than I do, but…
Are you 100% sure you put the 64-bit TWAINDSM.dll in System32, and the 32-bit TWAINDSM.dll in SysWOW64?
Maybe that was done automatically.
Is there anything in the folder Windowstwain_64?Hi,
Thanks for answerI am sure thesefiles are in right place.
I tried to copy 64-bit TWAINDSM.dll to System32, and the 32-bit TWAINDSM.dll to SysWOW64, but that doesn’t workIn the folder Windowstwain_64 I have just one subfolder : Windowstwain_64sample2, I think is a scanner demo twain
I am sure thesefiles are in right place.

This means you do not have native 64-bit TWAIN drivers for your scanners, only maybe the 64-bit TWAIN demo driver.
But when I launch Twack_64.exe and I press FileSelectSource…
Why are you running Twack_64.exe? Do you need to use TWAIN from a 64-bit application? You don’t have 64-bit drivers, so you won’t be able to do real scanning from a 64-bit app.
I am sure thesefiles are in right place.

Look my drivers is compatible with 64 bits : http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/office/imageformula_scanners/imageformula_dr_5010c_6030c/imageformula_dr_5010c_color_production_scanner#DriversAndSoftware
But I didn’t files in Windowstwain_64 ,
I want running my program in 64 bits but I think it can improve performance

I want running my program in 64 bits but I think it can improve performanceAh. I’m sorry I was not more clear. Your drivers are compatible with 64-bit Windows. But they are not compatible with 64-bit TWAIN or 64-bit TWAIN applications.
I know that sounds crazy but this is a very common situation, and if you are confused & frustrated, I can only say that you are not alone.
The fact that the Windowstwain_64 folder is empty means your Canon scanner does not have TWAIN drivers that are 64-bit. If you use a 32-bit TWAIN application, it will easily find your (32-bit) Canon scanner drivers, and talk to your scanner, and it does this on 64-bit Windows. So, when Canon says these drivers are compatible with 64-bit Windows, they are right, in that sense. The drivers load, and work, on 64-bit Windows. Just not with 64-bit applications…
