hard to say you’re doing anything wrong. twacker has been awefully stable for me.
What do you have under %windir%twain_32?
What device are you trying to use?
What OS (32 or 64 bit)?
Do you get this error in any other program?.
My father just bought a new computer and printer/scanner and he is trying to get things transfered from the old computer which is running windows xp to the new one which is running windows vista. The printer/scanner he bought and is trying to set up is a HP Officejet 5610 all in one. He uses the program called papermaster and when he put it on the new computer and when he could not scan through papermaster I believe that he got in touch with papermaster or went to it’s web site help files and he printed up this paper and one of the things on it was the twack. I’m just trying to help him get it going..
twacker, is you’re not familliar with it, is a sample or model for programmers learning to write applications that use twain. It may not be a perfect app, but I havent (in the last 2 year of writing twain apps) seen it fail as you describe.
If his device doesn’t seem work in a another app (in Vista) and it doesn’t work with twacker I would say its safe to say that device just isn’t working and I would guess at the driver.
Which version of Vista? the 32 or 64 bit?
