Greetings,
Are there any Readiris Pro 12 gurus around? I’m trying to scan and OCR a text document hard-copy to recreate the text file. Readiris Pro 12 does a great job of recognizing all the characters, but I cannot seem to prevent it from applying “processing” which adds formating for what it considers columns and tables (I think). This destroys my document. I just want the text from the page put in a text file, line for line, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do that. I’ve tried most of the text output file type options, and some non-text (Word, PDF, XML), but Readiris always processes the pages. Is there anyway to prevent this table/column business?
Thanks,
-BradWe usually use a TWAIN scanner to achieve various TWAIN image scanning functions before we can apply OCR reader to extract and decode text from image or document file, such as image acquisition using twain and adjusting and resetting twain device controls. After twain scanning, we use OCR recognition to finish batch recognizing and processing large volume images and documents.

Hi, Jony.
Thanks for sharing your problem. As for me, I have seldom tried to deal with that kind of problem before. Have you ever worked it out? I wonder whether you have any exprience about pdf extracting process. Because there is something wrong with my pdf reader. I need convert pdf into text or other formats. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.Best regards,
PanGinny BradfordAny Grooper OCR experts around also? I am experiencing somewhat similar issues right now with it. https://www.bisok.com/grooper-data-capture-method-features/multi-pass-ocr/
