W7x32 – search for webcam with Twain support

Hello everbody out there,

i have a question which is already asked but the answer
wasn’t that kind which i need.

The question was:
Is there any Webcam out there, which has Twain support at Win7 X32.

My Situation:
We have a customer which has a
enterprise resource planning system <- (translated by translation software).
I hope you understand what i mean, in this software the customer
takes a photo of every product he has for sale with a twain compatible webcam.

Before two weeks we changed him from WinXP32 to W7X32
(64 bit was not supported by serveral other programs he’s got in use) .
But for our suprise the Logitech Quickcam was not longer
supported under W7X32. While a phoneCall at Logitech they told a us summary of
support cameras which have twain support. After ordering a model of this list,
we recognized while trying to use it, that there was no Twain support anyway.
Another Logitech call later, we knew that there wasn’t any twain support anymore
since some years and the man at the phone before hasn’t a clue what he talked about.

So we tried to call Creative, but the Number which we had wasn’t reachable and
wasn’t in this country here.
After that we had serveral talks with the Microsoft Partner Support.
But no way, they can’t gave us a tip which model we can use,
but they gave us the adress http://www.twain.org/ where they think,
there a some People who knows it better then themselves.

So here i am and give this question up there directly to you
and hope that you can give me an answer,
bevor our customer has the idea to strangle us ;o)

The enterprise resource planning system software producer
wasn’t a way for us, because a modul for supporting other api’s
then twain won’t be implented until 2012.
